Here they are on the left more recently, reuniting
after a long college absence from each other. My
deepest gratitude goes to them for their incredible
contributions to Samson and D’Lilacs’ interactive
version. To my oldest son, Skye Lewin for his most
amazing musical score. It’s absolutely beautiful. I
can’t wait for you to hear it when that version is
released. And to my youngest son Jordan for his
wonderful help and patience when I decided to
teach myself how to create an animation. Without
his wonderful graphic design guidance and help as
to to where to start, I may still be groping nearly
10 years later. I love you both with all my heart.

Here I am fully enjoying a liberating waterfall climb.

On the right is my sweet mom enjoying the
results of my dad’s lifetime of loving
stewardship in selective forestry thinning,
his contribution to humankind for over 60
years. Since he’s now enjoying a different
realm than the heaven on earth he found in
nature, I show him below climbing his own
stairway to Heaven. My gratitude for him
and his gift of the love of nature is huge.

A Family Affair

So much of my inspiration is from right within my family, so I’d like to introduce you to
my special people. Mind you, I’m not at all prejudiced. The inspiration for Samson is
actually a little girl who didn’t come down from the trees until about the age of 13. I was
a late bloomer. Samson is also a combination of the all boy energy of my sons, Skye
and Jordan. Here they are on the right climbing Lookout Rock, as they became Lewis
and Clarke nearly 25 years ago, at our home outside of Durango, Colorado.

This last picture was taken at our timber tract in Colton, Oregon, of neighborhood children on horseback, just several of the many in the area who respectfully enjoy the forest as a beautiful park. My dad would be beaming now, knowing that the forestry practices he helped to pioneer were so successful for children’s enjoyment as well.

There’s so much more to share as well. One day soon, I’ll tell you more about the phenomenal contributing artists, Matthew Stavrowsky and Amber Nowzaradan; the wonderful educators who have helped to shape the various lessons and curricula in the interactive version; and on it goes. I’ll share more over time.

That’s a bit about my family. Now I’m eager to meet yours. Please be in touch with any comments, ideas, or thoughts. I’m always open to new ideas and there’s so much yet to learn. I’d love to grow together as we go.

It’s great to meet you!
With Love,
